Gas combustion facilities

The continuously increasing requirements for emission reducing measures at the disposal of polluting exhaust air streams and industrial exhaust gases demand for a reliable technology with a high availability that meets these requirements even in the long term. C-nox supplies this technology.
Lean gases and exhaust air streams as well as high-calorific gases and gas-air mixtures, all can be disposed off in an environmentally compatible and odor neutralizing way with low- or high-temperature combustion facilities from C-nox.
Low-temperature flares (LT-Flares)
Flares for the exhaust air combustion up to a temperature of 850°C, alternatively executed as open or concealed combustion.
LT-flares for open or concealed combustion
Characteristics:
- suitable for all types of sewage gas and biogas.
- package units incl. control cabinets and gas train with DVGW approved fittings.
- state-of-the-art burner control with UV sensors; flame monitoring according to EN-746.
- simple operation by plug-and-play principle.
- suitable for the installation on concrete foundation as well as on a container’s roof.
- standard combustion capacities between 50kW – 10MW (other capacities on request).
- execution according to industrial standards.
- short delivery and installation times.
High-temperature flares (HT-Flares)

High-temperature flares are applied for the environmentally compatible combustion of contaminated waste gas and exhaust air streams according to the TA Luft.
These gases can have very different origins and sources.
Characteristics:
- waste gas and exhaust air streams related to industrial processes
- waste gas and exhaust air streams with volatile organic compounds displaced during the filling of tanks and reservoirs
- purge air of tanks and reservoirs as preparatory step before their cleaning
- waste gases and exhaust air streams from bacterial processes, especially sewage gas, biogas and landfill gas
Key characteristic of the high-temperature combustion is a temperature above 1000°C in the burning chamber. In the temperature range between 1000°C and 1200°C all oxidable compounds of the gas are nearly fully converted and at the same time the production of nitric oxides is limited.
Landfill gas and landfill lean gases
Since many years the legislator has set high demands on the exhaust gas quality from the combustion of landfill gas. These requirements are defined in the TA-Luft (Technical Instructions for Air Quality). Although since 2005 no more organic residues are allowed to be landfilled, the landfill operator is obligated over decades to capture the landfill gas and safely eliminate it, even if a valorization on a CHP unit is not possible anymore due to the low methane content. For this reason C-nox has developed novel landfill gas flares with which it is possible to burn at temperatures over 1000°C (corresponding the TA-Luft) landfill gases with methane contents under 10 Vol% in an autothermic processes, that is without the addition of auxiliary gas.
Characteristics:
- environmentally compatible combustion of landfill and biogas streams with less than 10% Vol. methane
- heating of the combustion air by exhaust gas – air – heat exchanger
- intelligent programmable controller, which interprets the values of the main gas components methane, carbon dioxide and oxygen as well as the burning chamber temperature of the gas line.
Mobile biogas flares
C-nox has developed a mobile biogas flare technology which allows the operators of biogas plants to provide, in a short reaction time, a high-quality, fully automatic flare as emergency disposal system. The advantage is the simple operation by the structural assembly of the flare on a common type-approved trailer, which can be pulled by a minibus or a transporter. This allows the biogas plant operators a more flexible handling and facilitates the service at emergencies!
Gas flare with all necessary safety devices corresponding to DVGW guidelines.
Independent lifting and lowering of the flare cathedral with complete automatic hydraulic unit equipped with hydraulic cushioning and load control valves, separate hydraulic motor for constructing a pressure up to 220 bar, adjustable lifting speed.
Lying main gas valve train, ignition burner with its own gas valve train, burner technology as Injector, burner technology is designed to adapt reacts at different flow rates and a safe burning temperatures ≥ 850 ° C ensures system of stainless steel 1.4571, switchgear with mobile phase connection and flexible gas connection, optional construction and installation of a gas compressor on its own trailer for sucking the biogas to be disposed of.
Characteristics:
- 3 tons high board trailer construction, approx. 4,0m x 2,0m
- mobile systems with all safety devices according to the DVGW guidelines
- lifting and bringing down the flare dome by use of a hydraulic drive
